Greetings!

Thank you for stopping by my website. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bogazici University, where I teach econometrics and labor economics. I received my PhD from the University of Virginia in 2018.

I'm currently on leave from Bogazici University and work as a researcher at Turku School of Economics.

My research interests lie in three diverse fields. Firstly, I work on how political parties organize, recruit personnel, and share the political power they gain among the party members. On a related project, I am a co-investigator for an ERC consolidator grant (101045239 – INTRAPOL).

Secondly, I work on understanding how online job vacancies are created and attract different types of applicants. As a part of this research, I am currently supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (PN 122K518).

Lastly, I also hold a consulting role at the World Bank. In this capacity, I work on researching the economics of cybersecurity and digital platforms.
